Jeep steering wheel 17177 bytes)

We dove on two wrecks.  This is of the  Thiselgorm which was sunk in W.W.II while carrying supplies for the allies.  It was loaded with trains, trucks, jeeps, motorcycles, tires, etc.   This is a picture of one of the truck steering wheels.

Steve and Lorraine in the wreck (13181 bytes)

Steve and Lorraine in the wreck.  You can see other divers from other boats in the background.  This is a very popular dive site because the wreck is still in good shape, you can swim inside it without violating PADI rules and it has an interesting cargo.  You can also buy books and videos explaining the history of it

Thiselgorm railings(15562 bytes)

This is a section of the outside railing of the wreck.  Very eerie picture, but one I like.  The reason the water is not as clear as in other pictures is the number of divers that stir up the silt and the current.  The deepest part of this wreck is about 120 feet and the shallowest is about 90 feet.

This wreck was sunk by a torpedo from the USS Flasher (SSN 613).   You can see the hole where the torpedo went through.
