Zurich is a very pretty town.  It soooo clean that you feel you have to wipe your shoes before stepping on the sidewalk.  The people are friendly, speak English in addition to their native language, and are very helpful.
So, let's take teeny tiny tour.

A view of the city and the Main Church The beautiful stained window and organ loft in the church.
We went to a local Chess match.  The day was overcast and cold, cold, cold, but these guys were out watching or playing the game.  The guy with his hands behind his back won.  He may have cheated though because I saw him nudge a piece with his foot.  If you study the board closely, you can see that this is a classic Queen and Rook team up to beat the crap out of the King move.
The next day we went to Arosa, a ski resort in the mountains 2.5 hours from the city.  Before we arrived, Franci had sent us an email telling us to bring sensible shoes because we were going to the mountains.  Something got lost in the translation because they were wearing artic boots, ski pants, thinsulite jackets, mittens capable of withstanding subzero temperatures and Antarctic hats.  They were warm.  I was wearing waterproof shoes, jeans, dress gloves and a windbreaker.  I was so cold that twice I had to light my pants on fire to save my feet.
The resort and our view from the top
Carol, Brigitte and Robin.  Look at the background! Brian was in the picture but fell over the edge.  Robin is looking at him tumble, but his mother hasn't missed him yet.
While we were up there, four people came up with Paraglide chutes.  You can see two of the idiots taking off and all four of them gliding.  Yep, two chutes, four people...and two of the four paid for the privilege!
The whole group minus one in the first picture.  So who took the second photo?

On to the most beautiful Church.
